The Bohemian National Hall, designed in the Renaissance Revival style and built in 1896, has been an important center for Czech and Slovak culture in New York for more than a century. It is one of the surviving social halls built in the 19th Century for New York City's immigrant and ethnic communities.

After a complete renovation, the building was re-opened in October 2008. Since then, it has shared its premises with the Consulate General of the Czech Republic, the Czech Center and the Bohemian Benevolent & Literary Association, and has become a space not only for presenting Czech culture, trade and tourism in the U.S. but also for organizing a variety of events outside the Czech community. The beautiful Grand Ballroom has retained its original glory and, combined with our other modern multifunctional rooms, the Hall provides a unique setting and atmosphere for your events.

The Grand ballroom (with a capacity of 300 people) on the fourth floor is used for many different kinds of events. It is perfect for concerts, theaters, balls, panel discussions, meetings, presentations, receptions and performances, sitting dinners, lunches and much more.
A unique movable partition in the ballroom creates the illusion of two rooms instead of one, making it ideal for hosting a reception/cocktail/welcome drink and a sitting dinner during the same event night.

In case the number of people requires a smaller space, the part of the ballroom along the windows together with the adjacent Bar is suitable for this type of event. The modern bar has been received very well by our previous guests, with people commenting on how it resembles a bar they might see at a luxurious hotel. The spacious, fully equipped kitchen completes the list of excellent facilities this floor has to offer.
The ballroom is unique because of its great acoustic and theatrical lightning systems as well as its screen and theater style stage. The stage can be extended using risers that can be used separately, according to the client’s preference.

On the fifth floor there is a Balcony overlooking the Ballroom as well as the Glass Salon with a capacity of 20 people) suitable for board meetings, private conversations or any group of up to twenty people. It can be separated from the rest of the floor by a curtain to create a very private atmosphere for your event.

A Multifunctional room (with a capacity of 180 people) as well as a Library/Meeting room (with a capacity of 74 people) with beautiful shelving are located on the third floor and are multi-purpose spaces fit for a variety of different events. The wooden floor and ceiling help create a warm and comfortable atmosphere, making this multifunctional room one of our most popular for hosting events. Spot lights and a screen are available for presentations and business meetings but receptions and cocktails are just as welcome.

A State-of-Art Cinema s located on the first floor and is equipped with its own independent sound system. It is famous for hosting film festivals, movie screenings and readings, presentations, small concerts and recitals; all while having a capacity of up to 60 people.

We also offer an outdoor space, the Roof terrace which is equipped with a wet bar, sun shades and a beautiful view of the Upper East Side. Come and experience the pleasure of being outdoors and still in the heart of Manhattan. Perfect for cocktails, receptions, and summer screenings for up to 74 people.
